Pensacola Lutheran Blind Mission
On the last Saturday of the month at 5pm, members of Immanuel and guest volunteers serve a dinner to those who are vision-impaired in our community. Full blindness is not a requirement for membership and we encourage families and friends who do not suffer from sight difficulty to attend. This event helps those who are normally isolated have a chance to visit with one another and build relationships. This is one great example of where an act of mercy encourages our life together as God's people.
The meal is always accompanied with a message from God's word. While you don't have to be a believer to come and enjoy the friendship and food, we view this as a ministry that will have Christ as a part for sure. Typically, we also have a program that is informative and fun. We've gone to concerts, learned to dance, and heard about resources for the vision-impaired. Please call the church office to confirm the meeting time @ 438-8138.
