Pensacola Lutheran Blind Mission

On the last Saturday of the month at 5pm, members of Immanuel and guest volunteers serve a dinner to those who are vision-impaired in our community. Full blindness is not a requirement for membership and we encourage families and friends who do not suffer from sight difficulty to attend. This event helps those who are normally isolated have a chance to visit with one another and build relationships. This is one great example of where an act of mercy encourages our life together as God's people.

The meal is always accompanied with a message from God's word. While you don't have to be a believer to come and enjoy the friendship and food, we view this as a ministry that will have Christ as a part for sure. Typically, we also have a program that is informative and fun. We've gone to concerts, learned to dance, and heard about resources for the vision-impaired. High School Age and Young Adult

All 8th grade through college age students are invited to gather together for study of God's word that talks about what's going on today and how God's word applies to it all.  We study the current issues facing us and our culture from the perspective of the Bible and our Lutheran Confessions. The meeting takes place every Wednesday night at 7pm in the youth room.

Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML)

This is a group that is devoted to the spread of the Gospel through various fundraisers and events. Our group is part of a world-wide organization of the LWML that has raised much money and awareness for Missionary work. The support this organization provides is truly enormous. If you're a woman, please consider attending the meeting for this group. You may contact the Church Office for meeting times, 850-438-8138.

Camp Dixie

Camp Dixie, a Lutheran Camp Ministry, is supported by congregations in our area. Immanuel is one of the founding congregations of Camp Dixie. A fund-raising, chicken-eating good time is had by all when a Camp Dixie Chicken Dinner rolls around. The dinner dates are listed below. Dinner is served from 11am to 2pm. Come on out and support the Camp!

MEALS FOR THE HOMELESS

Serving those less fortunate...

Every Saturday morning hot breakfast is provided to the homeless. This ministry, begun in 1999, has served over 17,000 meals to those in need. Clothing is offered when available.

But more than food is served. A devotion is given that proclaims to all in attendance – whether rich in dollars or not – that we are all beggars who have been made rich in Christ Jesus. We sit and visit with our guests to let them know more about this Good News for all people. This shows that because God has loved us, we love all.

"In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

VOLUNTEERS TO HELP SERVE BREAKFAST ARE ALWAYS WELCOME. Many times we have young men and women from our military help serve.

Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 9:00 am EVERY Saturday Morning at the Church. There are no holidays off or exceptions. We perform this act of mercy every week.

Sew n' Sows

Serving the church  and world through various sewing projects. This is a lovely way to visit with one another as you work to help support those in need. This group meets every other Friday at noon. Please call the church office at 438-8138 for the current schedule.

Senior Saints

This is a group for those who are 55 and over. It meets quarterly and during the meeting there is a brief study, a substantial meal, and a thorough presentation from a community speaker. The normal meeting schedule is the 3rd Thursdays of March, June, September, and December. You will want to call the office (@438-8138) to double-check meeting times (especially for the December meeting!).
